Do I need a pre filter?

It depends on your source water.


Many people choose to purchase a pre-filter to uplevel the output and lengthen the lifespan of their machine, particularly if they’re connected to source water that contains fluoride (If that describes you, you’ll want to purchase the purple/grey combination from Enagic).


Other use cases for water that may require a pre-filter includes rain water (it can contain sediment) or hard water (which contains lots of minerals).
